Case History

In 2011, this patient underwent transoral resection of left-sided ranula (sublingual gland resection) with development of a dry mouth coupled with painless swelling in left submandibular region two years later. One year later CT imaging identified fluid re-accumulation with dilated submandibular duct. Transoral resection of residual sublingual tissue accompanied by ductoplasty of obstructed Wharton's duct with sialendoscopy was accomplished per photos below.
